Professor Beth Richie quoted in new article column on the reaction to Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy’s reinstatement to the National Football League includes an excerpt from an earlier interview with Beth Richie, professor of African American studies; criminology, law, and justice; and gender and women’s studies, about her work, her appointment in 2014 to the NFL’s expert panel and what impact the group could have in addressing issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Hardy served a four game suspension due to a 2014 conviction, which was overturned following an appeal earlier this year, for assaulting his ex-girlfriend and threatening to kill her. He made several controversial comments and showed a lack of remorse in a press conference upon his return.
