Conversations: Professor Barbara Ransby Interviews Professor Cynthia Blair

April 27, 2015

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Join the Department of African American Studies for this year’s second “Conversations,” a forum featuring informal discussions between AAST scholars drawing out the connections between their work as scholars, activists, artists, and community members. The series allows members of the department and extended community to get a better sense of what each of us does within and beyond the university, as well as to make visible the ideas and commitments that connect us to one another.

In our final event of the year, Professor Barbara Ransby will interview Professor Cynthia Blair. The event will focus on Dr. Blair’s current book project, Moms Mabley: A Cultural Biography, which examines the life and career of the African American comedian Jackie “Moms” Mabley.

Light refreshments are available.

Location: 1250 University Hall
Time: 12:00 pm, Monday, April 27th
