Cedric Johnson--Associate Professor of African American Studies at University of Illinois at Chicago. His research interests include racial and ethnic politics and neoliberalization. He recently published an article on the anniversary of Hurrican Katrina which examined social justice issues.

Christopher Manning--Associate Professor and Undergraduate Programs Director in the History department at Loyola University. He is working on a book which examines the volunteer mobilization in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
